Luna was here, always will be.

Luna was here, always will be.

One month before Luna passed away we took her to my favourite place - Polzeath, Cornwall. My family’s home from home. It was important to me that she had been there with us so that the next time I went I could say 'she was here'.

Whilst standing on that beach with my boy in my arms I smiled inside and out. I knew that at that moment all three of my babies were on that beach, all three of their little hearts were beating, all three of them were hearing the breaking of the waves, all three of them were feeling the positive vibes oozing out of their mummy, all three of them were feeling the love for that place. We were together, all 5 of us, on that beach, the sun was shining and it’s a moment I will treasure forever.

And now I can go there and think to myself Luna was here and always will be. Although her feet will never make footprints in its sand, she will leave her imprint in Polzeath in other ways. Her whisper will be in the breeze and her heart will continue to beat to the rhythm of the waves and if I listen hard enough I’ll hear it in each and every break.

Perhaps this is the place for her bench @ruth_and_her_bear
